Job Summary
Chassis controls application engineer (Vehicle Dynamic Control) is expected to calibrate algorithms pertaining the core controllers of vehicle dynamics. The engineer tests prototype vehicles for Chassis control application till the limit of vehicle chassis control for calibration. He or she supports vehicle trouble shooting together with SW team or with customer engineering team. The engineer is expected to travel long time for high mue testing and winter testing.
Job Responsibilities
- Vehicle testing, performance evaluation and application of control algorithms for Chassis Controllers
- Understanding and evaluation of customer performance specifications
- Implement vehicle test in summer and winter sessions and tune performance to meet customer’s and government’s requirements
- Troubleshooting in vehicle during development
- Technical interface between customer and internal technical project teams
- On-site customer support for vehicle debug, bench debug and customer related issues
- Generation of project documentation according to specified processes
- Perform release procedures (verification and validation) on chassis controls software
- Customer support and meetings on a daily basis.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel 12-16 weeks per year to various proving ground / development locales
Education: Bachelor or above in automotive engineering, mechanical engineering, or electrical engineering
Working Experience: More than 3 year working experience in Automotive engineering, work as chassis calibration, evaluation engineer in OEM is preferred
Knowledge/Skills:
- Public driving lisence
- Basic knowledge of vehicle dynamics, braking systems and control logic
- Basic of embedded control software (C++, MATLAB & Simulink, etc.)
- Good written and spoken English
- Willingness to travel 12-16 weeks per year
- Coordination, team working and communication skills
- Good at vehicle performance evalution (comfort &dynamic)
- Ability to work with international teams, Germany, India, Vietnam, etc.
- Ability to use Office SW
