Job description:

Under the general supervision of the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM), the Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) or the Department Manager, Hospital Aides assist in maintaining a safe and clean environment and adequate stock supply (excluding drugs) to enable clinical staff to deliver a high standard of care to patients in the ward/unit. It is expected the role will have direct contact with blood or body substances or infectious material, which needs to be considered in all tasks undertaken.

The role:

Details of Appointment

Permanent, part time, shift-worker position working 22 hours per fortnight, commencing from 6 August 2023

  • notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant
  • Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies.

Salary: $56,489 - $57,845 per annum (pro rata) + 10.5% superannuation + access to salary packaging

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022
